Semi-Senior Accounts

About the Role:
The position involves the preparation of financial statements for small and medium-sized limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing corporation tax calculations and submissions.
- Preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
- Completing self-assessment tax returns.
- Attending client meetings and interacting with directors and business owners.
- Assisting in the training of apprentices.
- Performing other general accountancy/administrative tasks as needed.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.
- Proficiency in written and technical skills.
- Strong prioritization and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong record-keeping skills.
- AAT qualification, with a desire to progress your career further.
What would make you stand out?
- Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, or Sage Business Cloud is advantageous.
- Willingness to undertake further studies with ICAEW or ACCA, as training contracts are available.
