We are seeking an Airfreight Export Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in air freight export operations and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will handle the entire process from start to finish, ensuring efficient and compliant export activities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Contact shippers to arrange collections and manage shipments.
- Cut Master Air Waybill (MAWB) and House Air Waybill (HAWB), ensuring compliance with country requirements, IATA rates, and airline specifications, including operator variations and promotional references.
- Negotiate with airlines to secure maximum margin.
- Complete customs entries and manage more complex procedures such as Inward Processing Relief (IPR), bonded goods, and export licensing.
- Provide accurate quotations and understand market rates to offer competitive services.
- Maintain high levels of customer service, providing agents with post-flight details and departure advice.
- Ensure a safety net is in place to prevent any oversights in the export process.
- Manage a fast-paced environment with efficient email management and quick response times.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of external customers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in air freight export operations.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and compliance requirements.
- Skilled in negotiations and understanding of market dynamics.
- Dangerous Goods training and Aviation Security training up to level CO (Cargo Operative) are highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
