Finance Manager

Reed Finance is working with a Southampton based Organisation.

Looking to find a Finance Manager to join their friendly team working closely with the management and supporting the CEO.

This is a transactional focussed role with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements. The successful applicant will be able to evidence their initiative and show they are a good team fit and open to assisting the team if needed. The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance people will be key.

The role involves:

  • Providing financial governance and guidance to support strategic

decision-making.

  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with the management team for budgeting and forecasting

processes.

  • Working closely with the team to optimise cost efficiencies.
  • Overseeing financial audits and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Production of weekly invoices
  • Managing and maintaining the Direct Debit system and payment runs.
  • Dealing with all credit and charge cards and staff expenses.
  • Production of regular bank reconciliations.
  • Processing and paying all supplier invoices.
  • Posting of monthly journals and maintenance of nominal ledger.
  • Liaising with external bodies on accounting matters.

You will have:

An accounting qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or

demonstrable relevant experience.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting

standards.

  • To be able to interpret financial data and translate into layman's

terminology and present it to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Methodical and organised with good communication skills.
  • Full driving licence, use of own car as travel between sites, may be

required.

  • Good at juggling tasks, using own initiative and prioritising own

workload.

  • Computer literate and good typing skills.
  • A good level of English, spelling and grammar.
  • Accurate, with good attention to detail.
  • Flexible working approach required
