Are you a trained or aspiring SENDCo looking for your next challenge? A wonderful opportunity has presented to work on SLT in a fantastic school and play an instrumental role in the coordination of SEND provision.

If you are looking for a leadership opportunity from September, look no further! An exciting role presents for a trained or aspiring SENDCo to work at a wonderful two-form entry school located in Hyde Tameside. This position commences September on a full-time basis and will pay M6 with a TLR2a. This is a blended role which will also involve 1-2 days in class teaching but the majority of the role will be out of class coordinating the SEND provision across the school.

As the SENDCo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the inclusive culture of theschool and enhancing the educational experience for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • A strong understanding of SEN code of practice & primary curriculum. (NASENCo qualification - highly desirable but not essential)
  • A committment to raising the achievement of all students of all abilities
  • Experience reading, writing and reviewing EHCPs
  • Carrying out 1:1 assessments and liaising with SLT and parent's/ guardians
  • Undertake the day to day coordination of SEN pupil's provisions through close liaison with staff, parents and external agencies
  • Effective communication, developing positive relationships with young children and adults
  • Passion and dedication in helping children reach their academic potential
