Internal Controls Manager needed for global Digital Advertising & Marketing business in London!

£70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Hybrid Working

I am hiring an Internal Controls Manager for a fast growing, digital advertising & marketing company in London. This is an exciting opportunity to grow a fast growing organisation with revenues over £1billion. You will be joining a welcoming team, who are all very solution focused, work hard together as a team and get celebrated in return. You will report to the Head of Financial Control, and you will be encouraged to build a strong network across the wider business to become successful in your role. I am looking to hire someone who is keen to stretch and expand their potential, to have influence and impact on the business and who delivers with passion.

This is a fast paced environment where results are key, so you need to bring energy and drive to be successful, as well as a diverse perspective and you must be able to move decisively with constant, forward momentum. In this role you will be become a trusted business partner and advisor in the area of risk and internal controls to drive and influence change across the business and really add value to each of the entities.

Key candidate requirements for this role:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification with training in a top 10 firm or relevant Internal Audit / Risk certification
  • Experience in designing and implementing processes and controls across financial and operational processes
  • Understanding of COSO and other risk and control frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can flex style and approach to a variety of different people and situations
  • Self starter approach to work who likes having autonomy in their role and driving continual improvement

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking full responsibility for the roll-out and reporting of control spot checks across the group.
  • Ensuring that the group operates a fit for purpose financial control framework by helping to design and deliver an effective on-going quality review / controls monitoring programme as a second line of defence
  • Supporting entities on the design and implement of processes / controls across all financial and operational processes
  • Developing / reviewing process documentation and risk and control matrices
  • Reviewing and advising the business on the implication of changes in systems, structure and future acquisitions
  • Driving continuous improvement in the Company's control environment (e.g., through technology, data analytics)
  • Supporting other ad hoc projects as required (e.g., ERP implementations, finance transformation, M&A activity, ESG, Corporate Governance)
