Our client is looking for an experienced Building Safety Inspector to be based at a various sites across London and the surrounding region.
Salary: between £30k - £35k depending on experience
Job type: Permanent, Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quarterly inspections of all common part fire doors across various sites
- Perform annual inspections of flat front doors to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
- Identify and report any defects, wear and tear, or non-compliance issues utilising dedicated software
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, including dates, findings and actions taken
- Stay up to date with the latest fire safety regulations and standards
- Participate in fire safety audits and reviews as required
- Communicate effectively with building managers, residents, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety issues and inspection schedules
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to fire safety and door inspections
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a Fire Door Inspector or a similar role in fire safety is desirable
- Strong understanding of fire door components, installation, and maintenance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety hazards
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection schedules
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required
