Leisure Manager – Tunbridge Wells - up to £32,000 (pro rata)

We have a fantastic new role for an energetic, creative and customer focused Leisure Manager to join an award winning, local, independent family run business in providing a premier experience for its guests!

This is very much a "hands on" role, you will be:

  • Responsible for managing staff matters, including rotas, holidays and sickness and attendance.
  • Holding team meetings to ensure good team communications, service consistency and cohesive energy.
  • Dealing with customer bookings and emails, receiving customer reviews and liaising with the maintenance team for any repairs and faults.
  • Ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to by the team, and carrying out regular building checks to ensure safety, security and cleanliness.
  • Greeting guests, explaining the activities and rules, including health & safety and fire information.
  • Setting up the site prior to the activity ensuring they are ready and working for the next group.
  • Providing support to the guests in the form of clues and assistance, ensuring safety and adherence to the rules whilst providing a fun experience.
  • Presenting the debrief, taking photos, adding photos to our Social Media platforms, any general observations and answering any guest questions after the activity.
  • Assisting with Marketing including social media adverts, promoting the Experience where instructed, leaflet distribution, trade shows as requested.
  • Assisting with prop repairs or assisting in the making/installation of new props where possible.
  • Carrying out general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sanitising rooms and communal areas, assisting other members of the team.

About You:

  • The ideal candidate will have a bright welcoming manner, be confident in presenting to groups and be dedicated to making sure that every guest receives the best from the experience.
  • You will have experience in and be confident in managing a small team, ensuring consistent performance and teamwork.
  • You should also be flexible, and highly collaborative with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Experience within the entertainment/hospitality industry would be advantageous, however not essential to the role.

*Access to own transport is also essential due to the site location*

Please note that weekend working will be required. Full training will be given but you will be on limited hours until you are confident with the activities. Part of the training is to also take part in the activities and watch teams participate to understand what is involved.

Hours:

25 hours minimum per week spread over opening hours, however there may be opportunity to work additional hours, depending on client bookings, which will be compensated accordingly.

** Opening hours are Mon, Wed, Thurs 1p.m. to 9p.m. Fri, Sat, Bank Holidays 9.00 a.m to 9.pm, Sundays 9.00am to 5.00pm.***
