Service Technician
Location: Rochester
Salary: Starting at £27K DOE
Hours: Mon-Fri (Overtime available at time and half)
Are you seeking a Service Technician role, do you have a wide range of experiences, do you enjoy working in a role where no two days are the same?
Our client, a small and welcoming team, is looking for a Service technician to join their busy and dynamic organisation on a full-time basis. Our client has been established for over 25 years providing maintenance, repairs and installation services for equipment supplied across the UK. The role is split 70-80% working in a workshop setting and 30-20% out visiting customer sites in the South East. If you like the sound of the above this role could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Service Technician, you will collaborate closely with the internal team, handling various tasks such as testing, preparing and wiring equipment ready for customers. This role is 40 hours per week offering an enhanced rate for overtime! You will be provided with full training for the role so if you enjoy being hands on and have a keen eye for detail please read on!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly of equipment's within a workshop environment.
- Refurbishing equipment to high standards
- Problem solving and finding faults
- To follow diagrams to ensure wiring & assembly are compliant
- Setting up network connection, routine service, cleaning and maintenance of all equipment
- Responsible recording written results of completed work
- Install equipment and ensure running smoothly
- To use hand tools and wiring tools
- To work effectively within a team environment
- Attending customer sites to install and maintain equipment
What you will need:
- Basic wiring experience would be advantageous
- Strong 'hands on' skills
- Customer facing skills
- Excellent time management
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills
- Flexible and willing to learn with a can do attitude
- All new employees will need to complete a DBS check
