Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our technology client is looking for a part or fully qualified accountant to join them on a permanent basis as Financial Accountant working on a hybrid basis 1-2 days in the office.
This job would suit a part qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with strong technical finance knowledge working either in Practice in Audit or in industry in either a GL accountant or financial accountant type of position. This role will be responsible for supporting the general ledger accounting to the UK team, whilst building relationships with the overseas finance team based in Europe covering the EMEA region.

The job would be ideal for either someone looking to make their first move out of Practice into a business that could offer international progression or a solid financial accountant who is looking for a stable environment to continue their career.
The successful individual will be a good financial accountant, ideally studying ACCA or CIMA although this isn't essential, or a qualified ACA or ACCA practice accountant looking to make that step into industry. Confidence and a good track record in financial controls and processes is important as are interpersonal skills to build relationships with the European Finance team. Experience of working with international clients on audits or in industry would be advantageous as would be any knowledge of using SAP.
Job responsibilities:
- Preparation and compilation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards
- Generating financial reports
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and intercompany reconciliation
- Preparing taxes or gathering tax documents like monthly and annual VAT
- Supporting the Auditor, Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed
