Location: London (60% office-based)

Contract Duration: 2nd September 2024 - 1st April 2025

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: £140 gross per day

Holiday Entitlement: 38 days

Our client, a global management consultancy firm are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Banking Administrator. This role involves supporting the daily operations of outsourced services, with a focus on Payments and Japanese Corporate remittance activities. You will handle customer and front office queries, ensuring accurate and compliant processing across various operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments outsourced from European offices, including funding/nostro control and SWIFT authorisation.
  • Perform checking and authorisation of SEPA transactions and related functions.
  • Address and resolve complex operational queries via email and telephone.
  • Report on delayed items, disputed amounts, and provide updates on investigations.
  • Ensure tight control of nostro outstandings and compliance with all procedures.
  • Support the preparation of external reporting and internal controls.
  • Administer EMEA workflows, manage receipt and distribution of instructions, and oversee work completion.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEPA Transactions, current account management, and multicurrency payments.
  • Knowledge of Money Laundering procedures and global sanctions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and effective in team settings.
  • Professional communication skills for direct customer interaction.
  • Fluency in Japanese, German, French, or Italian is an advantage.
