Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Posted by NET Recruit.

Your Company:

The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a fantastic financial services and insurance business, who are searching for a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, to support their growing business on a mostly remote basis, with the occasional need for London travel. As a leading and forward thinking business in the insurance sector, this organisation is making leaps and bounds in the area of technological and operational support for leading businesses who use their offerings.

This role is unique, in that it is not a traditional procurement position, but rather will focus heavily on 3rd party risk management and supplier contract management, with the incumbent also ensuring the business is compliant to regulations and stakeholder requirements.

Your Role & Responsibilities

While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:

  • Creating and implementing consistent procurement processes across the business
  • Ensuring that all checks are completed before contracts are signed, including Information Risk and Security Assessments, Legal and Financial checks, and then effectively keeping a sound contract management process regarding signing, terminating, renewing and exiting for all IT services
  • Developing a holistic method for managing third party risks, which may include carrying out control activities for suppliers and assessing and documenting contingency arrangements for critical services
  • Maintaining an up-to-date supplier register and inventory to allow for full governance across the business, whilst proactively managing supplier relationships for the benefit of the business
  • Ensuring new processes that are created are aligned to new regulations, in particular the DORA regulation that will be operational from 2025
  • Ensuring that the business is able to meet the requirements of major stakeholders

What you will need to Apply:

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have previous procurement experience, specifically handling 3rd party risk management and supplier contract management. Ideally this experience should come from the financial services and/or insurance sector. An understanding of the new DORA regulation would be needed too. If a CIPPs qualification is held then this would be beneficial, however this is not essential at all. Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required for this role, alongside a diligent and organised approach to work.

What you will get in Return:

The successful candidate will access a starting salary of up to £65,000, which of course will be highly dependent on previous experience, and relevant knowledge. This will also accompany an excellent package including competitive holiday entitlement and pension contribution, as well as additional monetary incentives and discounts. This role can be worked mostly remote, with a

couple of days per month in London, Paddington

expected and the rest worked from home.

Alongside this, there will be excellent routes for progression in this position, fully supported by a dedicated team and senior management, as well as access to market leading training material and industry/market information relevant to the role to keep your knowledge up to date.
