A lovely school in the County Durham area require a 1:1 SEND teaching assistant to join them ASAP.
The candidate will be required full time to support a challenging Key Stage 2 pupil with ASD and ADD who has very challenging behaviour.
One to One SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Working within KS2 setting of the school to work 1:1 with a SEND pupil
- Recording evidence of the child completing tasks and feeding back to teacher and parents
- Using own initiative to take the lead and to change activity plans if needed
One to One SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements
- Previous experience of working with challenging SEND individuals, positive handling training would be advantageous
- Ability to provide 2 x educational based references
- Confident and experienced in lone working
- Excellent numeracy and literacy knowledge
- Good behaviour management
