Senior Business Analyst

Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a passion for digital service transformation?
ASA are currently looking to recruit a Senior Business analyst to work alongside a large-scale client in the public sector on an initial 6-month contract (outside IR35).

About the Role: This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead the discovery phase and create proof of concepts for new registers ahead of groundbreaking legislation. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering innovative digital services that meet customer needs and drive business change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery phases and provide proof of concepts for the new registers.
  • Maintain an audit trail of decisions and assumptions.
  • Identify and track project benefits, ensuring alignment with stated outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners.
  • Support the Domain Principal Analyst and Product/Agile teams to ensure solutions align with both customer and organisational goals.
  • Actively participate in company Business Analysis practice and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of Scottish land registration processes and the ability to engage with domain experts.
  • Experience leading collaborative workshops and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies for the design and delivery of digital services.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, visual stories.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, working effectively with stakeholders to support the organisation's strategic goals.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Business Canvas Modelling, Value Proposition Design, or Wardley mapping.
  • Experience with digital standards in government and systems in transition.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google web analytics, creation of wireframes, and development of personas and customer journeys.
  • Formal qualifications such as IIBA or similar are a plus.
