Role Overview:
As a Bouldering Instructor, you'll inspire visitors of all ages and abilities to fall in love with climbing. You'll deliver fun, professional sessions, ensuring safety while contributing to the centre's welcoming atmosphere. This role is perfect for someone passionate about climbing, teaching, and creating memorable experiences for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Climbing Sessions:

  • Lead engaging climbing sessions for individuals and groups, adapting to different ages and skill levels.
  • Ensure sessions start and finish on time, keeping the schedule on track.

Safety:

  • Conduct daily and monthly safety checks on equipment, ensuring the safe operation of the climbing arena.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety during all sessions.
  • Floor walking and general safety patrol.

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide friendly, approachable customer service to ensure visitors feel welcome and enjoy their experience.

Administration:

  • Handle paperwork efficiently and use RGP software for bookings, payments, and managing events.

Centre Maintenance:

  • Help keep the centre clean and presentable and assist with reception and café duties when needed.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • Passion for climbing and helping others improve.
  • Previous experience in instructing a sporting activity

Desired:

  • CWI/CWDI qualification.
  • BMC Fundamentals.
  • MT Coaching Qualification.
  • Experience with RGP booking software.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.

  • Adaptable, hardworking, and able to manage a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player, self-motivated, and highly organized.
  • Calm under pressure and quick to take initiative when needed.

Work Location: In person, Northampton
Expected Hours: 20-40 hours per week (day shifts, weekends, holidays)
