  • Full time (40 hours/week), Permanent
  • £40,000 - £47,000 dependent on experience
  • Full UK driving licence required

The Package:

  • Salary for the position will be based on experience: £40,000 - £47,000 per year
  • Occasional travel Europe/USA/Far East for installations and service support

  • modern facilities in parkland close to the town of Bury St. Edmunds, within commuting distance of Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge and surrounding areas

Main Responsibilities of the Laboratory Service Engineer:

  • Qualify flow chemistry systems
  • Perform on-site maintenance and upgrades
  • Gather customer feedback and discuss applications
  • Advise customers on preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Provide technical support via phone and email
  • Create technical bulletins and guides

Skills/Qualifications (minimum):

  • 2 years' experience in a laboratory service or installation role
  • NVQ Level 3 or Higher Diploma/Degree in engineering or chemical engineering
  • Good logical troubleshooting techniques
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • You enjoy travelling and visiting customers
  • Able to work with minimal supervision after training
  • Confident with Windows, Excel, Word

Desirable:

  • Experience within a scientific industry and working in a laboratory environment
  • Electro-Mechanical experience
  • Experience in working overseas
