SEN HLTA

Posted by Asend Limited.

ASEND is looking to appoint 2 confident and proactive SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our Tuition Centre near Uxbridge starting in September. Working alongside the centre's therapeutic coordinator, Lead Teacher and wider support team, you will assist by planning activities, differentiating tasks and working with the senior team to devise and monitor appropriate learning and social programmes for our young people.

The UTC delivers a service that is very dear to our hearts - it supports children in Hillingdon with SEND who do not have current school placements. We find it a work of great compassion to prepare these children for reintegration into full time school placements; no matter how easy or challenging it may be. The children we support are between the ages of 4 -16 and have a range of different needs. Children work in small groups of no more than 5 and the centre supports a maximum of 20 young people at any given time. We strive to prepare our children for a swift return to education once a placement is identified, and focus on giving them valuable social and learning opportunities that will enable them to thrive.
