Data Solution Architect - (Digital Infrastructure)

We are currently recruiting for a Data Solutions Architect with Microsoft Fabric and Purview knowledge for enterprise data lake to join one of our Higher Education Clients on a 6 month contract.

Data-focused skills/experience

  • Experienced solutions architect with knowledge of cloud-based Microsoft Fabric and Purview solutions for enterprise data lake use
  • Higher Education Industry Experience
  • Skilled in data integration, data warehouses, data streaming, databases, ETL/ELT/Data Transformations, and a conceptual understanding of the supporting data infrastructure architectures using Azure tools and technologies
  • Data Lake Access Security design and operating model
  • API Contract Design, utilising AWS cloud services (desirable)
  • RBAC models leveraging EntraID (desirable)
  • Experience with data compliance, data governance, data security, ethics and data sharing considerations.
  • Understanding to model data using entity relationship modelling, enterprise data models, dimensional modelling, and integration data modelling (service, APIs etc.). awareness
  • Experience of designing reporting and analytics using PowerBI (Microsoft Synapse = desirable)
  • Experience of DevOps/DataOps methods in development of data solutions to ensure pipelines and processes can be automated and controlled
  • Ability to articulate and present solution design options clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to run Design workshops with various stakeholders with minimal guidance
  • An ability to explain technical issues to non-specialists, and to write clear technical reports and other formal documentation for solution deployments and evaluations is essential.
