Trainee Estimator / Project Manager
Our client Boardcraft, a leading contract furniture manufacturer based in St Neots, is hiring a Trainee Estimator/Project Manager to join their team. They are urgently looking to appoint someone to assist in the day-to-day running of the office, principally supporting the sales department, getting involved with estimating, and ensuring the smooth running of projects from conception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
- Liaise with suppliers to secure the best deals
- Calculate material usage (training will be provided)
- Maintain contact with customers
Project Management:
- Build relationships with key clients and meet with them as required
- Conduct occasional site visits
- Ensure quality standards and lead times are met
This role is primarily office-based in St Neots. A driving license and your own vehicle would be an advantage.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Willingness to learn
- Strong numeracy skills with experience using Excel
- Good phone manner and strong command of the English language
