Transparent is pleased to support one of our longstanding clients in the recruitment of a Financial Controller to oversee financial operations to include financial control and accounting activities of the Plant, as well as general and cost accounting.
Working for a long-established business that is acquisitive and continually growing, your duties will include:
- Responsibility for the timely preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Monthly commentary of the financial result to your main reporting line and explanation of actual vs budget
- Accurate and timely preparation of monthly plant reporting to support decision making
- Supporting Operations and Plant Managers to facilitate periodic update of the standard costs in the bill of materials
- Oversee treasury activities, preparing cash flow overview and reporting monthly
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers and reporting to Group on a quarterly basis with regards to plant CAPEX expenditure
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of financial budgets and liaising with all departments to gather the relevant information
The Person:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be ideal
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or "qualified by experience"
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Excellent communicator with a high attention to detail
- High standard of computer skills to include Excel and ERP systems
