Hayley Group Limited are looking for a Technical Specialist to join our well-established Drives team based in Dudley. The ideal candidate will specialise in industrial gearboxes. The role on offer is a full-time, permanent position for a competitive salary.

About the role:
As our Technical Specialist, your main responsibility will be to assist the Hayley branch network with industrial gearbox solutions, working with our customers to support them with all their drive requirements. The role is a great opportunity to join an experienced team in a dynamic office, where all team members work together to provide the best support for our customers.
Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities of our Technical Specialist role will include:
- Offering drive and gearbox solutions to customers based on their requirements.
- Answering technical queries from across the branch network via email and phone.
- Researching and investigating older gearbox models in order to cross obsolete units over to modern solutions.
- Building relationships and working closely with leading manufacturers and suppliers.
- Providing advice and guidance to gearbox queries received on the trade counter.
- Assisting with customer sales orders on an ad-hoc basis.
Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our Technical Specialist:
- Knowledge and experience with industrial gearboxes would be highly advantageous.
- Experience in working in MRO and distribution would also be beneficial.
- Good work ethic, customer-focused, and driven to provide consistently high levels of service.
- Good level of communication and numerical skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Willing and able to learn about and support new products.
