Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with children with visual impairments, supporting their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with visual impairments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize Braille and other assistive technologies to support students' learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's education.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with visual impairments.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Braille is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
