My client is a heritage organisation based in a historically significant location known for its architectural grandeur and extensive grounds
Description
To assist with the preparation of management accounts, budget process and year end.
- Calculation and posting of management accounts journals and generation of management accounts in Microsoft Excel.
- Balance sheet reconciliations as specified by the Finance Director.
- Rolling forward of Microsoft Excel management accounts and budget files.
- Assistance with completion of budget files and participation in the budget process.
- Assistance with the preparation of reporting papers for the Council of Trustees and Finance & Investment Committee.
- Assistance with the preparation of files and schedules for year-end.
- Assistance with systems development such as the design of import spreadsheets and automation of processes, as specified by the Finance Director.
- Maintenance of weekly cash flow forecast spreadsheet.
- Assistance with the preparation of the quarterly VAT return for review by the Finance Director.
- Any other activities as required.
Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA fully qualified - essential.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Significant experience of management accounts production.
- Significant experience and understanding of the budgeting process, for both the I&E account and balance sheet.
- Systems experience - ideally Sage 50 but also experience of other systems interfacing with the main accounting system.
- Experience of working in the charity sector and the relevant accounting and tax regulations applying to charities, including VAT.
