Engineering Lecturer (Welding Emphasis)

We are seeking an Engineering Lecturer with a specialisation in Welding to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with practical hands-on experience in engineering and a passion for educating the next generation of engineers. Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lectures in various engineering subjects up to Level 3 standard, including Turning, Milling, Fabrication & Sheetmetal, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
- Develop and prepare educational materials and lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain up-to-date records of students' attendance, grades, and progress.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum and teaching resources.
- Engage in personal development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements in teaching methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience.
- Strong practical knowledge and skills in Turning, Milling, Fabrication & Sheetmetal, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
