Engineering Lecturer (Welding Emphasis)

We are seeking an Engineering Lecturer with a specialisation in Welding to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with practical hands-on experience in engineering and a passion for educating the next generation of engineers. Whether you are new to teaching or have extensive experience in the engineering field, we offer excellent opportunities for progression and development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures in various engineering subjects up to Level 3 standard, including Turning, Milling, Fabrication & Sheetmetal, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
  • Develop and prepare educational materials and lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of students' attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum and teaching resources.
  • Engage in personal development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements in teaching methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong practical knowledge and skills in Turning, Milling, Fabrication & Sheetmetal, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Previous teaching experience is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
