Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Wiltshire, UK
Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime)

Our client has been providing specialist engineering services since 1989, meeting all refrigeration and air conditioning needs. They offer comprehensive services from design, installation, and commissioning to support services such as breakdown cover, fault finding, and maintenance packages. Their large local client base ranges from commercial to industrial sectors, allowing work on a variety of systems including:
- Air conditioning single split systems and VRV/VRF
- Air conditioning HVRF systems
- Air source heat pump systems
- Heat recovery systems and air handling equipment
- Chiller systems
- Chilled water plants
- Refrigeration systems
- Bespoke design systems
The Role:
We are seeking a motivated Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer with a natural interest in mechanical and electrical systems within the building services sector. The successful candidate will demonstrate good hand skills, practical ability, and a mature, positive approach to learning and working with others.
You will collaborate with engineers to develop skills across various areas of the company, from preplanned maintenance to installation and possibly fault finding, depending on the scheduled week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on various air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Assist with preplanned maintenance, installation, and fault finding.
- Maintain high standards of Health and Safety.
- Provide superior service and demonstrate a commitment to going the extra mile.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent.
- F-Gas qualification.
- Full UK Driver's License.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the industry.
- Good Health and Safety awareness.
- Excellent organizational and people skills.
- Relevant electrical experience (17th, 16th, 15th edition, HNC, NVQ, City and Guilds in electrics is an advantage).
