Systems / Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine are supporting our client who is keen to secure a talented Systems & Management Accountant into their growing team. This key role is working within a leading international company based near Poole.

This newly created role of Systems / Management Accountant is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a part in maintaining key financial systems and ensuring the smooth running of the management accounts and month end process.

What this role will be focused on:

  • Management and maintenance of their financial systems, including experience with ERP systems.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet control account reconciliations.
  • Process financial data with accuracy and efficiency, utilising your advanced Excel skills for data compilation and analysis.
  • Annual audit support and budget preparation.
  • Processing and control of month end activities.
  • Identifying process or system improvement opportunities.
  • Provide excellent support to internal stakeholders, resolving queries and ensuring smooth system operation.
  • Participate in system changes, any upgrades or new implementations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of their financial processes.

Key areas of experience needed:

  • Proven experience working with a large ERP system (SAP/Navision/Oracle).
  • Preparation of management and statutory accounts experience and knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with formulas, functions, and data manipulation.
  • Experience of working in a large engineering or manufacturing environment.
