Our Client
Mackie Myers has been retained on an exciting part time financial controller position for a high growth start up organisation. Due to an increase in business activity, our client are looking for an experienced controller to support the business within the next phase of their growth journey.
The Role
The financial controller will be the most senior in finance and would therefore not only manage the day to day finance transactions process but also lead on finance strategy and will play a key role within the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements / management accounts for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage projects, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks associated with projects.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
- Ensure transactional process and invoices are accounted for and processed on time each month.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and other departments to support business initiatives and drive financial performance.
The Successful Candidate
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) - Qualified by experience will be considered.
- apatite and experience doing and managing the transactional processing - AP/AR
- Experience of being within an SME environment.
- Ability to work independently.
