Mechanical Engineering Quality Inspector

Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Mechanical Engineering Quality inspector to work for a brand new client in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Role: Mechanical Engineering Quality inspector

Salary: £38,000 - Dependant on Experience

Location: Drayton, Oxfordshire

Hours: 37hr week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am - 4.30pm Fri 8.00am-1.00pm Overtime often available

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Quality inspector:

  • In-Process inspection (During Manufacture)
  • Use of Programmable and Manual CMM inspection
  • Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
  • Overseeing goods in/out inspection
  • Raising and investigating NCRs with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
  • Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
  • Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production and inspection.

About you:

  • Ideally you will be an experienced CNC Machinist/programmer with an 'Inspection' background.
  • You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection.
  • You will be fully familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
  • You will be able to work well in a team environment and have the necessary 'people skills' to develop and improve the quality culture of the business, having confidence and a discerning judgment on when to raise issues, improvements.
  • Reporting to the Managing Director you will be supporting the production team striving for 100% quality.
