Salary: Up to £40,000

The Recruitment Crowd are currently looking for an Operations Manager with proven experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex needs.

As the Operational Manager you will work alongside the Registered Manager leading a team of dedicated Service Managers, providing effective leadership, developing the business and ensuring a quality care service is delivered which meet both the company's values and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

  • Provide leadership to Management teams in order to ensure high quality service delivery and business outcomes
  • Develop the performance of Managers, using the Competency Framework to ensure that all Managers are meeting expectations in terms of performance and behaviour Identifying and communicating opportunities for new business and business development/growth
  • Be a good role model for all employees, being optimistic, approachable and providing a regular presence and visibility as well as being consistent in all actions and decisions
  • Clear and consistent leadership
  • To work proactively with the Head of Quality to ensure all new services are set up appropriately.
  • To agree action plans individually and collectively to ensure commercial viability, growth and continuous quality improvement in each service.
  • To provide excellent leadership to Service Managers encouraging teamwork, commitment and team and individual development.
  • To work closely with the Human Resources, Finance & Recruitment colleagues supporting the business centrally.
  • To manage individual performance, promoting CPD and effectively addressing underperformance.
  • To ensure annual appraisals occur for each staff and are effective and purposeful.
  • To ensure relevant and effective supervision for all staff and that these are in line with appraisal goals and development.
  • To conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, appeal hearings or grievances, as appropriate
  • To maintain high retention of staff throughout.
  • Work closely with Head of Quality and provide regular, accurate and detailed updates ensuring the Head of Quality is aware of all current and possible issues at all times.
  • To communicate effectively and ensure all staff are clear of their expectations within their role.
  • To conduct detailed and thorough appraisals for Service Managers, ensuring recognition and development continuing this through formal and informal supervisions.

Our ideal Candidate will hold:

  • Experience as an Operations or Registered Manager ideally in a Supported Living setting.
  • Demonstrable Leadership and Management experience
  • Experience in regulatory frameworks such as CQC or Local Authority contract compliance
  • Exceptional administration & organisational skills.
  • Strong computer skills and experience of MS Office functionality.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Able to analyse data and compile reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate appropriately with people at all levels and capacities.
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Warm, friendly, kind demeanour with a positive and open-minded attitude
  • Thirst for knowledge, strive for excellence, and a humble posture of learning
  • Caring and compassionate person with a genuine desire to want to make a difference and help disadvantaged individuals to have meaningful and purposeful lives.
