This role is known within the organisation as an Officer Development Coordinator

SALARY: £27,127 - £30,349 pro rata + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands -Hybrid working is available working 1 day per week from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 24 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 36.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday and 8.30am - 3.30pm Friday.

Flexibility of working hours is reasonably required from time to time to meet the requirements of the post. This includes occasional evenings and weekends.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Project Administrator / Learning and Development Coordinatorwith experience working in project management or as an event coordinator or in a similar administrative role, who has excellent organisational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.

Working as the Project Administrator / Learning and Development Coordinator you will foster the professional growth and development of the Full-time and Part-time Officer teams to identify their skill and knowledge gaps and develop 1-2-1 tailored development plans for each Officer.

You will support them in the mapping of their manifestos and coordinate the successful planning and execution of their manifesto project plans, by signposting to relevant colleagues across the organisation.

As the Project Administrator / Learning and Development Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and assisting the Full-time and Part-time Officer teams in the delivery of the organisation's annual cultural events.

You will provide executive and administrative assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of the officer teams and support their day-to-day activities. Specifically, calendar appointments, diary management and scheduling of meetings.

DUTIES

Your duties as an Project Administrator / Learning and Development Coordinator will include:

  • Officer Support and Administration - provide executive and administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence and organising documents and files
  • Project Management - support the co-ordination operational assistance, and execution of the organisation's annual cultural events
  • Wellbeing Support - support officers by developing innovative wellbeing training initiatives and keeping up to date on wellbeing best practices across the SU sector
  • Evaluation and Outcomes - evaluate the effectiveness of events, training and wellbeing plan on a yearly basis and feedback to LID Manager on areas of improvement, and proposed recommendations
  • Officer Training and Development - support officer professional development journey by offering guidance and resources tailored to their individual goals and aspirations
  • Inclusion and belonging - foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management - liaise with external stakeholders, including university administrators, members of liberation associations, and student representatives, to facilitate collaboration and partnership opportunities
  • Compliance and Risk Management - conduct risk assessments for area of work and have a good knowledge of risk mitigating activities for day-to-day activities

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree or equivalent experience which demonstrates a comparable level and evidence of ongoing professional development in field
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong executive support skills such as managing of schedules, diaries and appointments
  • Strong project management and or event coordinator skills
  • Previous experience in or demonstrable knowledge of the student/graduate development environment
  • Knowledge of employability skills and how to develop them
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to all internal / external customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and individuals
  • Ability to use research techniques and provide evidence-based solutions/recommendations, using own initiative
