Health and Social Care / Medication Trainer

A well established, national company are looking for an experienced Health and Social Care / Medication Trainer to work flexibly between the office in Derby and home. The role will be to deliver Compliance Induction and Annual Compliance Refresher training programmes.

These programmes are both 2 days in length and will be delivered to all direct care roles and management. This is circa 3,500 colleagues. In addition, you'll have relevant experience to deliver Medication Management training as a 1-day webinar for all our senior carers, nurses and management roles.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Delivery of the new Compliance Induction and Annual Compliance Refresher training programmes
  • The topics to be delivered will include but not limited to Moving and Assisting People, First Aid and Basic Life Support, Moving and Handling Loads, Food Safety incl. Fluids and Hydration, Fire Safety, Health and Safety Awareness, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding, Privacy and Dignity, Equality and Diversity, Person Centred Care and Communication skills
  • Delivery of the new Medication Management training course for new starters and existing colleagues annually. This course is 1 day in length and will be delivered to all Senior Care, Nurses and Management roles

Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions
  • Effectively manage learners to ensure that they are engaging with the learning in line with policies and guidance
  • Ensure constructive feedback is provided to managers of learner's post attendance on sessions for learners on an exception basis
  • Regular review of the training they deliver using evaluation processes to identify areas for development to be discussed with your line manager monthly
  • Attend Compliance Team and wider People Development Team meetings on a monthly basis and take an active role in putting forward agenda items and engaging in discussions and activities
  • Receive feedback openly and take positive action where required
  • Attend accreditation training for the topics being delivered as required
  • Maintain own compliance training in line with timeframes
  • Ensure administration of training delivered on the Learning Management System is completed accurately and in a timely manner

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new team within the wider People Development team. This new team will consist of a Health and Social Care Training Manager, 2 Health and Social Care Trainers and 2 Clinical Trainers.

You'll have experience in delivering highly engaging compliance training within a health and social care setting. You will also have a basic knowledge of using Microsoft 365 packages and be skilled in using webinar software to deliver training to up to 15 learners at a time.

In return you will be offered a salary of £31,495. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week, flexibility is available. This is a hybrid position working between home and the head office in Derby.
