**The Role:
As a Practice Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day bookkeeping needs for a wide range of clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with current regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, as you'll be handling multiple clients from different sectors, giving you exposure to various industries.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders and SMEs - inlcuding the construction space.
- Processing invoices, payments, and reconciling accounts
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with year-end accounts - inlcuding CIS
- Maintaining up-to-date financial records in line with HMRC regulations
- Liaising with accountants to ensure seamless handover for final accounts preparation
**The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a practice environment is essential
- Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
