Business Development Consultant

An award-winning supplier of managed workwear and commercial laundry services is seeking a Business Development Consultant. This role is perfect for a talented salesperson with a drive for new business and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service within the industrial sector.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Develop and maintain a profitable customer base within a defined geographical area, focusing solely on acquiring 100% new business.
- Implement effective territory management to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of all sectors of the company's Rental and Sales product offerings to achieve new business targets.
- Maximize Sales and Rental opportunities in collaboration with the Head of Sales and/or Key Account Managers.
- Respond promptly to all incoming leads or enquiries and prospect for additional business.
- Utilize sales skills and questioning techniques to identify and secure new sales contracts aligned with our products and services.
- Maintain close communication with internal teams to ensure operational capabilities and consider Depot routing priorities.
- Support retention efforts in conjunction with the Customer Support Team within your territory.
- Record and circulate minutes of customer meetings and ensure they are stored appropriately on the company network.
- Submit quotations in line with the Salesforce Matrix, seeking approval for any deviations from set price levels.
- Review and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure they meet current service requirements and expectations.
- Record all sales activity on Salesforce, including calls, appointments, quotes, and sales.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Clean driving license.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, ABS, and Salesforce.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of company products, services, and the protective clothing industry.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial information for profitable sales.
- Adaptability and a high level of commitment to working at a fast pace with urgency.
- Creative approach to territory management.
