I am working with a leading multimillion-pound packaging company that has built a reputation for excellence in its industry. They are seeking an Electrically Biased Shift Engineer to join their team at their Tring site.
Job Title: Electrically Biased Shift Engineer
Location: Tring Area
Salary: Up to £35,000 - £43,000 (Possibly more DOE) + Bonus + Benefits
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (6am-3pm or 8am-5pm) / Friday (8am-2:30pm or 6am-12:30pm)
In this role, you will be responsible for handling breakdowns, PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) across the site. The work will mainly involve electrical repairs but may also include mechanical tasks on a variety of equipment, including blow moulding machinery, boilers, coolers, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical & Mechanical Repairs: Primary focus on electrical repairs but will require mechanical knowledge for some tasks.
- Fault Finding & Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools, including PLC fault finding (experience with PLCs is advantageous, but not essential).
- PPM & TPM: Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance activities to ensure equipment runs efficiently.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to and promote health and safety standards on site.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as an engineer in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Strong electrical engineering background with a working knowledge of mechanical repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and machinery.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Willingness to work a shift pattern and be flexible.
