THE DATA ENGINEER ROLE:
- We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performing data pipelines capable of handling large data volumes. In this role, you will lead data warehouse projects that support efficient data storage and retrieval, meeting critical business needs.
- You will work closely with data science and engineering teams to integrate data solutions seamlessly into operational workflows, ensuring data is timely, accurate, and accessible. Key responsibilities include managing ETL processes, designing data models that support analytics and reporting, and upholding best practices in data governance, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- You will implement robust data monitoring systems to maintain data integrity and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, data-driven insights and solutions.
DATA ENGINEER - ESSTENTIAL SKILLS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial data engineering or related role
- Skilled in SQL and data modelling
- Proficient in data warehouse technologies (such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake)
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks, including Apache Airflow, Talend, or dbt
- Strong programming ability in Python or another data-focused language
- Knowledgeable about data management best practices, including governance, security, and compliance standards
- Familiar with cloud platforms and environments for data processing
