£25,500 FTE

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a business based in Sheffield as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours) basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform revenue reconciliation and manage the processing of payments from bank statements into Sage 200
  • Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and post accruals and prepayments entries in the Sage 200 system
  • Analyse the profit and loss accounts and nominal ledgers, reconciling them while identifying any required adjustments for prepayments and accruals
  • Assist with payroll preparation and coordinate with an external payroll agency
  • Record and process expenses, petty cash, and credit card transactions in Sage 200
  • Handle key control account reconciliations, including those for the sales ledger and purchase ledger
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Carry out additional tasks as needed to assist the Finance Manager and broader finance team

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a Finance or Accounting role
  • Experience using Sage 200 and Excel
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a small team environment to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes
