SEN Learning Support Assistant

I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN learning support assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to assistant students with special educational needs in their academic, social and personal development

The right candidate will:-

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals
  • Plans (IEPs) and strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Support students with personal care tasks, where necessary
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators
  • participate in training and professional development opportunities o enhance your skills and knowledge

The right candidate will need to have:-

  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
  • previous experience as an SEN learning support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • understanding of various SEN, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD and other learning difficulties
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents

The successful candidate will play an integral role in the behaviour, communication, social and emotional development of the children and actively assist our teachers with supporting the children within and outside the classroom.
