Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and interventions to support students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure each student reaches their potential.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates and foster a collaborative approach to each student's education.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • Proven experience working with students with a range of SEND needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
  • A strong understanding of SEND legislation, best practices, and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the welfare and development of every student.
