Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a fabrication company to recruit a Production Manager to join their team in Sheffield.
Working closely with the Production Controller, the Production Manager will manage the shopfloor operatives with a focus on delivering production targets.
Our client is looking for an experienced Production Leader who has the ability to prioritise and manage workloads and can develop effective working relationships with peers, senior management and direct reports.
Duties of the Production Manager will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory, including work allocation to meet production targets
- Ensure quality standards are met to include the checking of welded fabricated products to EN1090
- Attend and lead daily production meetings and toolbox talks
- Liaise with Production Controller on general maintenance of machinery including assisting with repairs, servicing and breakdowns
- Ensure H&S standards and good housekeeping on the factory floor are adhered to
- Management of a team of Supervisors and Operatives including all performance & absence management, recruitment and training
- Close and secure factory at the end of the day
To be successful in this Production Manager role you will need to have the following:
- Management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with metal working machinery including welding & fabrication would be beneficial
- Experience with MMA/MIG welding techniques
- Ability to read technical production drawings
- Strong and effective communication style
