We are currently recruiting for a Teacher who will teach both Media & Communications/Media Studies for an International Level 3 Foundation and EAP (English for Academic Purposes) at the London World Education Centre in E1 Central London, for a September start.
Delivery is face-to-face only at our London Centre.
The post holder will be timetabled for Media and EAP. They will have a strong Media-related background, with experience of teaching Media Studies at Level 3, including lectures and seminars on theoretical frameworks as well as practical industry skills workshops for script-to-screen media production projects.
The post holder will also be required to have a recognised teaching ELT qualification and experience teaching EFL or EAL (English as an Additional Language) students. Prior experience of teaching EAP (English for Academic Purposes) and delivering validated programmes is not essential but would be an advantage.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree
- A recognised ELT teaching qualification. For EAP teaching this ideally would be at Level 7 (e.g. DELTA, MA in TESOL).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Desirable:
- Level 6/Level 7 qualifications in a Media-related subject
- Postgraduate degree
- Experience of Level 3 Media course design, leading & delivery
- Experience of HE teaching and working with different nationalities and cultures.
- Experience of teaching English language overseas and especially EAP within an HE environment.
Start date: 23rd / 30th September
