Installation Manager - Foundations

Activities:

Work with the Project team to develop and define the logistics and offshore construction solutions for all stages of the Foundations installation, with emphasis that foundations are executed efficiently and safely.
Provide technical governance, capturing applicable supply chain information on the installation equipment specification and operational requirements, with adherence to HSE and quality, and planning effectively to meet key Project milestones.
Demonstrate familiarity with vessel operations in order to identify constraints and opportunities for the optimisation of offshore construction activities. This shall include knowledge of ancillary equipment and watercraft such as barge operations, subsea construction (dredging, rock dumping, scour, and other seabed preparation), and quayside operations (load out, load in)
Liaise and collaborate with other technical, interface and project controls, HSE and quality roles.
To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to H3SE and to implement H3SE rules and requirements within their area of responsibility.
Context and environment

Accountabilities:

The Foundations Installation Manager shall develop installation methodologies for the foundations, for various foundation types and installation techniques, and shall provide further detail to the assumptions in the construction schedule.

Required experience

Bachelor's degree in Marine, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering, and considerable project experience in large marine T&I projects, and preferably EPCI projects in either development or construction, with either a developer or marine contractor.
Familiarity with offshore construction programmes and typical durations of foundation installation activities, as well as the interfacing packages schedules
Knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and best practice associated with construction projects.
Experience of working within CDM projects, HSE audits, design risk assessment and method statement production and reviews.
Knowledge of port infrastructure, marine operations, and supply chain associated with offshore construction.
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g. DNV, ISO, European Standards, ISPS etc.).
Familiarity with calculation reports for offshore construction, namely temporary steel structural design for grillages and seafastening, rigging design, with familiarity with codes applicable to marine operations.
Excellent knowledge of offshore installation equipment, including lifting aids, pile installation equipment (hammer technology and preferably also drilling technology), grouting equipment, remote lifting tools, and subsea construction tools such as dredgers.
Excellent knowledge of a range of installation vessel types, including floating crane vessels, jack up vessels, HTVs and towed barge operations.
