Job Title: Interim Repairs Supervisor

Location: Wiltshire

Contract Type: Interim/ongoing

Salary: £260-£340 per day Inside IR35 (Negotiable)

Our client, a local authority in Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced Interim Repairs Supervisor to oversee the building maintenance team. The successful candidate will ensure the team adheres to Swindon Borough Council's Health and Safety Policy while delivering a high-quality repairs service.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and supervise building maintenance operatives to ensure the most cost-effective and economical use of resources.
  • Advise the Repairs Managers on the required resources for individual jobs.
  • Ensure all work is completed within the priority period and to a high standard.
  • Pre-inspect work to identify work content, duration, and materials required, clarifying any poor descriptions with surveyors to prevent delays.
  • Produce detailed schedules of works and specify job requirements for the in-house workforce.
  • Pre-order non-stock and stock materials for larger or more complicated works to ensure availability when needed.
  • Arrange with wholesalers to deliver materials to the site as required.
  • Monitor the delivery of repairs in line with agreed policies and performance standards.

Knowledge & Experience Needed

  • Experience in coordinating and delivering a wide range of building repairs.
  • Experience in working with both direct and indirect labor.
  • Knowledge in diagnosing building faults across a wide range of buildings.
  • Experience in delivering projects within budget constraints.
  • Working knowledge of construction-related health and safety regulations.
  • Working knowledge of planning and building regulation requirements.
  • Relevant qualifications in building maintenance or construction management are preferred.
  • Proven track record in a similar supervisory role within building maintenance.
