Coins Finance Systems Project Lead

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Coins Finance Systems Lead to join a rapidly growing organisation within the construction industry, currently undergoing business acquisitions and expansion projects. This role is critical in leading the delivery of high-quality projects across the COINS application, overseeing system and process changes, and providing expertise in solution design and architecture. You will play a key role in ensuring technical support is provided for live incidents and that all finance system requirements are met to a high standard. Outside IR35 on an interim basis, c. 9-12 months with possible extension.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the delivery of technical projects relating to the COINS application.
  • Oversee data migration efforts.
  • Ensure finance requirements are met while advising on high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee the production of technical design specifications and documentation.
  • Ensure new and existing processes meet business requirements and controls.
  • Evaluate and manage risk assessments for new functionality and issue resolution.
  • Review technical administrative documentation.
  • Adopt industry best practices in design and implementation.
  • Manage relationships with software providers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Systems Assurance Manager to maintain system integrity.
  • Ensure all testing requirements are met for system changes.
  • Provide high-standard technical support for escalated COINS issues.

What you'll bring:

  • Essential: Minimum 3 years' experience in delivering COINS Finance Systems improvements.
  • Proven experience leading COINS implementations and data migration projects.
  • High-level understanding of the COINS application.
  • Ideally Qualified accountant (or equivalent practical experience) with a demonstrable understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong experience in risk management and maintaining good governance in system changes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage at all levels of the business.
  • Pragmatic problem solver, focused on quality and customer service.
  • High degree of integrity and commercial awareness.
