Technical Project Manager

Are you a Project Manager with technical experience looking to make an impact on multiple software development projects?

Our client is a leading insurance company seeking an experienced and talented Technical Project Manager to join their successful and established Projects department on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for introducing, facilitating, and managing the delivery of projects and key tasks across the group. Working closely with a team of Business Analysts, you will ensure all Agile ceremonies and artefacts are in place, while keeping appropriate stakeholders engaged. This role also offers the opportunity to promote an altruistic culture and drive the direction of multiple high-impact projects.

This role offers a hybrid work model with 2 days a week in the office in central Liverpool.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage all Business Analysts within your product area, ensuring adherence to the required governance.
  • Host appropriate internal governance meetings to keep projects on track.
  • Attend and contribute to daily stand-ups.
  • Provide suitable project updates to senior team members and stakeholders each week.
  • Help promote an altruistic culture across the team.
  • Identify trends and assess opportunities to improve processes and execution.
  • Raise and track issues and conflicts, remove barriers, resolve medium complexity issues involving stakeholders, and escalate when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines, and external vendors.
  • Oversee operational systems, processes, and infrastructure, seeking opportunities for improvement or revision.

What you'll get:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 per annum plus a £5000 bonus.

What you'll need:

  • Experience working within software development projects.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and meet numerous deadlines.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of people.
  • An eye for detail, able to use data to identify opportunities.
  • Previous leadership or coaching experience in the workplace.
  • Well-versed in project management; Business Analytic experience would be beneficial.
