We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst with a quality assurance background to join the team. You will work within a dedicated in-house technology team to create and manage a work pipeline to deliver new features and technology advancements to CMCMarkets' customer facing proprietary trading platforms across Web and Mobile Apps.
Business & Technical Analysis
- Help with analysis, specification and documentation of requirements of new product features in close cooperation with stakeholders, developers and other analysts;
- Create confluence specifications, UIwireframes, and Jira tickets to provide a clear pipeline of work for the team, conduct walkthrough sessions with stakeholders and technology team members;
- Help with work and resource planning for change delivery, in collaboration with the development team throughout;
Quality Assurance
- Work alongside other analysts, developers and other test analysts to review business and technical requirements and prepare test cases;
- Execute test cases in a systematic and organised fashion, raising defects and preparing reports on test coverage;
- Conduct regular regression testing across the trading platforms and help produce and maintain regression test packs;
- Provide help investigating issues in the test and development environment;
- Assist the support and customer facing teams to investigate and resolve live issues;
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A strong financial services background with a good understanding of financial markets and retail trading platforms
- Experience working on requirements analysis and quality assurance testing within a technology team;
- Experience of using story/bug workflow tools (e.g. Jira) and confluence (or similar) to capture and articulate requirements analysis;
- Experience creating UImockups/wireframes for feature design on customer facing platforms across web and mobile
- Strong understanding of at least one tool for managing test cases and test coverage;
- Experience of manual testing on web and mobile platforms;
- Preferred experience of automation testing on web and mobile platforms;
- Basic understanding of waterfall and agile development methodologies;
- Demonstrable track-record of work in an agile environment;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, taking ownership of tasks large and small;
- Some experience of automated testing would be advantageous.
