About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for a Scenario Testing Lead to join the team. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for leading the Scenario Testing Team, ensuring the multiyear scenario testing plan is executed and delivered in line with Operational Resilience regulations. This includes firm-wide collaboration at a senior level, to mature the testing plan and ensure alignment with areas included but not limited to, Consumer Duty, ICARA and Digital.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Senior Manager with the oversight of, a high quality, challenging Scenario Library which includes all types of testing required by Operational Resilience Regulations and Third-Party Risk Management regulations.
  • Day to day management of the Scenario Testing Team, ensuring the execution of HL multiyear Scenario Testing Plan which includes Operational Resilience scenarios, Business Continuity testing and Gold/Board Team Testing.
  • Ensuring that the scenario testing standards and processes are maintained and kept up to date, to ensure a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensuring that Operational Resilience and Crisis Management Playbooks are maintained and tested as required.
  • Ensuring that horizon scanning is completed to inform testing and response.
  • Responsible for embedding Scenario Testing and Operational Resilience within HL risk culture.
  • Professional competence ensuring up to date regulatory knowledge and expertise through industry forums and broader engagement internally.
  • Ensuring that appropriate communication strategies are included within testing and playbooks.
  • Preparing periodic reports and develop metrics around scenario testing to inform senior management, and represent at the appropriate governance forums.
  • Present and facilitate at senior level meetings including Bronze/Silver incidents as and when required Lead the maturity of the testing plan, ensuring that tests cover a range of type and complexity, including facilitated table top exercises, simulations, live testing and tests that include critical third-parties and multiple IBS.

Interview process

The interview process for this role will be a two stage interview with a task assessment.

Working Schedule

This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
