Teaching Assistant - Year 3

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at a vibrant school in Morecambe. This role is focused on supporting Year 3 students within Lower Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will benefit from a supportive staff environment and opportunities for professional development.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities
- Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.
- Encourage students' engagement in the learning process.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom organisation.
- Support the teacher in monitoring students' progress and providing feedback.
- Participate in school meetings and training sessions for continuous professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
