HR Manager

Are you an experienced HR Manager that wants to work for a community based charity?

My client looks to make their local community better by making it a great environment to live, work, play and visit.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a HR Manager to join a small but busy team

This is a full-time position initially being offered on 2 year fixed term contract.

With this being a community facing role you will be based 5 days per week in their office in Ladbrook Grove. There will be some flexibility after completing your probation period.

To be considered for the role you'll need to have significant experience as an HR Manger working with the charity sector and be CIPD qualified.

£50,000 per annum.

Role

  • Provide high quality support to the Head of Governance and HR on aspects of the HR function Deputise on occasion for the Head of Governance and HR in meetings with the Executive Team.
  • Ensure effective up-to-date HR policies and relevant other policies that meet the needs.
  • Identify any gaps in the suite of HR policies and develop new policies to fill that gap.
  • Lead on the EDI policy, ensuring that the policy is implemented
  • Ensure the HR-related recommendations of the review into institutional racism at the Trust are being progressed to a conclusion.
  • Undertake investigations into grievances raised
  • Write up reports of the findings and propose recommendations for actions
  • Support the Head of Governance and HR in delivering the actions that support preparations for the next Investors in People (IiP) external assessment in late 2024.
  • Ensure the HR policies and practices remain consistent
  • Lead on responses to HR-related Subject Access Requests.
  • Provide cover as required for the HR Business Partner
  • Work proactively with the HR Business Partner on the running of staff recruitment and selection processes.
