Location: Leicester, fully office based role

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 plus benefits

Inizio Engage are really excited to be recruiting for a quality assurance / quality inspector position to join this friendly driven & highly professional team within a growing and dynamic company who have 4 key areas of expertise. The QA / QI will join a team of five other quality assurance/ quality inspectors who collectively have a longevity of over 15 years with our client and the role has arisen due to an internal promotion.

Our client's story began in the 1980s when their founder led a team of fellow NHS pharmacy colleagues who shared in his belief that pharmaceuticals could be made more effectively, efficiently and safely than conventional approaches of the time dictated.

They believe that their expertise set them aside from other competitors in providing solutions to different healthcare needs and patients with clinically complex conditions and give them a better quality of life.

The purpose of the role is to support and maintain the assessment of incoming materials and components which will mean that this role is 50% office based and 50% working within their sterile shop-floor environment, daily duties will include:

  • The assessment of incoming raw materials and components under Quarantine;
  • Quality Assurance record review;
  • Sampling of ingredients and components
  • Receipting, inspection and releasing of APIs
  • Review of batch documentation, Certificate of Analysis/Conformity, data logger, data stability date and coordinating with internal departments and suppliers and clients;
  • Initiation, review and management to close out of Change controls, deviations, Corrective and Preventive Actions and Supplier Notifications
  • Identifying and implementing improvements
  • Supporting the Quality Assurance department with any other duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment and industry for example Pharma or Healthcare
  • Be competent with MS Office
  • An appreciation of Good Manufacturing Practice
  • The ability to adhere strictly to procedures and a high level of attention to detail
  • Professional and motivated to develop themselves
  • Proactive and well organised and the willingness to work flexibly
  • Good communication skills and comfortable when communicating with a range of internal and external parties
