Description
This opportunity is available due to the expansion of the business and development of new products. You will be responsible for designing, analysing and implementing the systems employed in the distributing of goods from within the warehouse. You will work closely with other departments and will support the wider factory operations. You will evaluate all aspects and methods of distribution and presentation with the goal of improving efficiency by clever utilisation of space in a safe manner.
Profile
As this is a 6 month FTC candidates will need to need to immediately or readily available to start in a new role. As well as a strong background in Operational Logistics and warehouse design you will benefit from the following skills set:
- Continuous improvement / Lean / 5s / 6 sigma or Kaizen
- Exceptional self-motivation and a pro-active confidence needed to identify and prioritise work
- Project management skills and the ability to balance short-term firefighting with long term improvement projects
- Good communication skills and the ability to produce clear, precise work instructions
- Ability to work in a team or alone and unsupervised as needed
- A hands-on practical approach to work
- Knowledge of Health and Safety law and best practice
