A prominent housing association with operations in Wembley and Southgate is seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to assist with their disrepair workstreams. This is a critical role requiring a candidate with exceptional knowledge of housing repairs and disrepair. The position is a six-month contract with a competitive hourly rate, ideal for a dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact in a short period.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee and coordinate the repair workstreams, ensuring all activities comply with industry standards and organisational policies.
  • Supervise repair teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficiency.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess the quality of repairs and identify any instances of disrepair.
  • Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Manage and monitor repair schedules, ensuring timely completion of work and adherence to set budgets.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on housing repairs and disrepair matters.
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and outcomes of repair projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within the housing sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of housing repairs and disrepair processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Proficient in planning, organising, and prioritising workloads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in building, construction, or a related field are desirable.
